MCCF - News & What's Going On?

Welcome to information about Midlothian Older People’s Fora.

Currently there are active Older People’s Fora in Bonnyrigg, (Bonnyrigg Senior’s Forum) and Gorebridge (Gorebridge over 50’s Forum. These are linked together under the heading Platform and Voice for the production of newsletters etc.

These lively Older People's Fora give those taking part an opportunity to connect with other like minded Older people, be involved in a wide range of Social activities and have opportunities to tell the decision makers about what matters to us. It's a great chance to talk about issues  that matter to us older citizens in the community - such as the implications of the Midlothian Older Peoples Strategy and Services and Advice for Older People.

Older People in Midlothian can be active partners in shaping the future of how Health and Social Care Services are delivered in Midlothian.

Mary Webb, from Gorebridge Over 50’s Forum is the current Older persons representative. Along with Eric Johnstone, on the Midlothian Joint Older people’s Planning Group. See Midlothian Council website.

There's lots to say about activities, new ideas, services and how people would most like to live their lives. It’s also time to share wisdom and experiences and pass on advice. We want to hear from you. Like a good life, it's time well spent.

See Publications for more information.
