Lothian Joint Physical and Complex Disability Strategy
OUR LIVES OUR WAY
October 2007
Our Lives Our Way is a document launched for public consultation and marks an important step in the development of the Lothian Physical and Complex Disability Strategy.
The aim of the strategy is to address the needs of people aged 16-65 who have physical and complex disabilities. This is your opportunity to influence the final version and how it will support service users and carers in Midlothian.
Learn more, exchange and share views with local staff, and people from Midlothian Council and NHS Lothian, at the Scottish Mining Museum, Newtongrange, on Monday, 10 December between 10.15am and 3pm. To reserve a place, please contact Norma McNeill at Midlothian Council on 0131 271 3679 or e-mail norma.mcneill@midlothian.gov.uk
The strategy itself, as well as a summary, is available at www.midlothian.gov.uk, www.nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk/pcds, and Midlothian Community Care Forum, or by phoning Eric Johnstone at Midlothian Community Care Forum on 0131 663 9471 for a free paper copy which can be made available in other formats.
Everyone’s views are welcome, whether a one-line comment or something more detailed.
You can send a letter, document, CD or audio-tape to Kitty Mason, Lothian NHS Board, Deaconess House, 148 Pleasance, Edinburgh EH8 9RS; e-mail pcds@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk; or leave a phone message on 0131 536 9178.
The consultation ends on 31 January 2008. Every reply will be read/addressed and a report on the outcome issued which will inform future decisions taken by NHS Lothian and the four local authorities.
